About the Presenter Richard Ashley, President of EMI Richard graduated from the University of Buffalo and went on to teach and coach in the New York State public school system. He became involved in Career Colleges in the 70’s and has spent over 3 decades in marketing, admissions and enrollment management. He has managed schools that provide programs in beauty, health & wellness, medical, computer, legal, design, technical, business and education; offering certificate programs up to and including master degrees. Richard has written and published 50 articles covering topics in marketing, advertising, adult admissions and recruitment techniques, high school recruiting, student finance, phone/email appointment centers and student retention. In addition during the last 20 years Richard was both the Director of Marketing and the Director of Admissions for a multi-location career college organization. He had the responsibility to manage and implement an annual multi-million dollar advertising budget, while managing the enrollment management teams. It was those years having the responsibility to generate the leads and convert those leads to Career College students that laid the foundation of Enrollment Management Innovations.
